I don't agree that he's the best striker england have ever had, but other than man city he probably walks into any team in the world.

Rather than the term world class, I prefer to consider players on the basis that they wouldn't look out of place playing along side the best players in the world.
Harry Kane would comfortably fit in.
The like of Harry Maguire wouldn't.

As an England supporter I've always rated Kane and he's been superb for us, he should've left those wannabes in N17 yeas ago, but was hoodwinked by the odious Levy, if he'd moved to a top tier side a few years back when he wanted the move, then without doubt we'd all view him as world class.
He's probably missed that boat now, which is a shame for him

Yup. It’s a bit of a crying shame that we can never quite get the full package together as a squad. We’ve produced very good defenders and goalkeepers for years but been lacking up top or in midfield. Now we have arguably two of the top midfielders in the world- despite what Souness thinks- and a host of excellent attackers despite no real alternative to Kane up front but Stones (and I might get pelters but and also Walker) aside we really don’t have much in the way of top class defenders. Albeit that the lad in Italy really needs to be given a chance. Pickford isn’t fully convincing either.

I think in the main, Kane has absolutely stunk the place out in tournaments for England. Especially in the World Cup 2018, where he finished top scorer due to penalties, but his performances we an embarrassment.
He also hasn't played enough Champions League football overall to be called World Class, imo. 1 goal in 8 CL games this season, for a striker, is not world class is it.
